Learn effective locations to find First Wave Husks in Arc Raiders to gather resources complete challenges and enhance gear for successful raids

When you first start playing Arc Raiders, some of the lingo can be a bit puzzling. One term that’s easy to mix up is “First Wave Husks.” A lot of folks assume these are just the burnt-out shells from a fresh Arc battle, but nope – these are relics from a much older fight. They’re scattered around the world, and if you know what to look for, they can be a goldmine for resources. These things aren’t sleek or high-tech like the current Arcs you’re taking down; they’ve got a proper worn-down, industrial look – metal scarred with rust, shapes that feel clunkier, almost vintage war machine style. The moment you spot one, you’ll know it’s different. And trust me, learning how to scavenge them will make a huge difference in gearing up for tougher fights. If you’re trying to push your progress, knowing how to spot and farm them is just as important as grabbing a ARC Raiders BluePrint before heading out.

You’ll see these husks on pretty much every map. They come in various forms – some are small and bug-like, others are towering old battle bots. You might trip over a lone one now and then, but the real trick is watching for the “Husk Graveyard” map condition. When that happens, the spawn rate jumps like crazy. All of a sudden there are husks everywhere, just waiting to be picked apart. A classic spot is the Old Battleground in Dam Battlegrounds. With Husk Graveyard active, that place feels like a scrapyard heaven, with metal giants and little crawler husks dotting the landscape in every direction.

The loot’s what makes it worth the time. Husks are one of the best ways to grab Arc Powercells and Arc Alloy – both of which you’ll burn through when upgrading weapons or crafting new gear. Think of it as doing a supply run before risking it all topside. On a lucky day, you might even snag Rocketeer Drivers, which are important for leveling up stations or meeting Expedition goals. It’s a nice feeling when you get one of those drops without having to grind in combat.

Just be mindful when scavenging – breaching a husk can trigger a small shock burst or flame pop. Nothing that’ll wipe you out, but it can be annoying if you’re low on stamina. A quick dodge roll usually does the trick, so keep an eye on your stamina bar before you start tearing into one. Once you get the hang of it, husk farming slots neatly into your routine, giving you the resources you need to hit the bigger challenges. And if you’re serious about building your power base, grabbing a BluePrint while you’re at it is a smart move.
