 Arc Raiders offers the best farming ground for Rusted Gears. The Checkpoint and Underpass are located below the Blue Gate map. Rusted Gears can only be obtained by looting cars, trucks and other vehicles. Checkpoint and Underpass are the two regions with the most cars to be looted on any map. Checkpoint itself is an extremely high-tier zone for loot, which means that Rusted Tools are less likely to appear in Checkpoint.

 To get the most loot, enter the Blue Gate on your own (ideally during a Night Raid for a better chance at finding more loot), then head straight to the Checkpoint. This is a very dangerous area. Many Wasps, Hornets, and Bastions will patrol the road. As you move from vehicle to car, keep your head down. Break into every compartment that you can. You will know that a car can be looted if it has an intact hood/bonnet. Rusted Gears can be found inside these compartments.

 Follow the path of cars to the north-east from Checkpoint and you will eventually find yourself in the Underpass underground tunnel.  The tunnels here stretch into the Underpass. It is a vast underground section that covers the northeastern part of the map. In these tunnels, you'll find a lot more cars. You could easily spend an entire 30-minute match in this area and still not run out. Keep an eye on your round timer. Finding the Rusted Gears is not enough - you must also be able to remove them.

 It is entirely up to the player whether they use a loadout. Free loadouts are a good way to relieve your stress while looting. However, since free loadouts lack safe pockets, once you find Rusted Gears, you have to extract them or they're lost forever.
