RSVSR Insights: Why BO7 Season 3 Reloaded Meta Weapons Dominate

Black Ops 7 Season 3 Reloaded made the Voyak KT-3 and Carbon 57 unstoppable. Here are the attachment setups dominating Ranked right now.

Three weeks into Season 3 Reloaded and I've burned through enough matches to say it plain: the Voyak KT-3 and Carbon 57 are running the show in the Black Ops 7 meta right now. The mid-season patch didn't gut anyone - it just sanded down the recoil curves on a handful of guns, and those two came out swinging. If you're hunting a shortcut and want to buy CoD BO7 Bot Lobby sessions to grind camos without sweating, that's one route, but for actual ranked climbs you'll want to know why these picks hit so hard.

Why the Voyak KT-3 owns the assault rifle slot

I switched off the EGRT-17 about a week after Reloaded dropped and haven't looked back. The Voyak's TTK at mid-range is just stupid - like, sub-500ms if you land your first three on chest. Recoil pulls slightly left but it's predictable, not the random jump you got pre-patch. My build: Suppressor, Long Barrel, and a stabilizing underbarrel. That's it. Skip the heavy stocks, they wreck your ADS.

Thing is, the Voyak doesn't punish bad positioning the way other ARs do. You can peek a lane, miss your first shot, and still win the trade. That's a big deal in Hardpoint where every reset matters.

Carbon 57 build for aggressive SMG players

Honestly? I'm not sold on the Carbon 57 being "better" than the Voyak - but for entry frags it's a different animal. The Reloaded buffs bumped up its damage range and smoothed the vertical recoil, so now it actually competes past 15 meters. Slap a mobility stock and a recoil grip on it, ignore the laser attachments (they tank your sprint-out), and you've got a gun that lets you pre-aim corners while still gunning down ARs at weird angles.

Pair it with Stim and you're basically uncatchable on objective rotations. Your mileage may vary on smaller maps where the Voyak's range advantage just disappears.

Best loadouts for ranked play and lane control

Two more guns deserve a slot in your rotation. The Swordfish A1 is still the burst king - three-round bursts to the upper chest pretty much instakill, and on lane-heavy maps it punishes anyone holding a head-glitch. The catch: you've gotta tighten the burst spread with the right barrel, otherwise rounds 2 and 3 fly into the sky. The EGRT-17 is the safer pick if you flex between modes. No one weakness, no real strength either, but its recoil pattern is so flat you can mag-dump across a map and hit stuff. I run it on Search when I don't want surprises.

What the patch notes aren't telling you

Here's the thing though - most guides don't mention what breaks these builds. Over-attaching for recoil control on the Carbon 57 actually drops your hipfire to the point where you lose close-quarter duels you should win. Same with stacking range mods on the Voyak; you trade your strafe speed and suddenly SMGs eat you alive in shipment-style spawns. Test your loadout in private match before you take it to ranked. Seriously.

One more thing - LMGs are quietly viable for objective defense if you're sick of getting beamed by Voyaks. Not meta, but a fine counter-pick. For currency, camo unlocks, or skin grabs without the grind I've used RSVSR a couple times this season and the turnaround was quick enough that I didn't miss a play session. Now go ruin somebody's KD.
