​ARC Raiders update 1.42.0 arrived on August 18, 2026, bringing the second part of the Phantom Targets project to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The download appears as patch 1.000.053 on consoles, and there was no scheduled server downtime. For players stocking up before another run, the current ARC Raiders Items selection may also be worth checking. The update adds regional map schedules, the Anomalia Outfit, the Tick Hunter Set, two Twitch Drops, anti-cheat work, and a long list of smaller fixes.

Phantom Targets Moves On From Testing

Part 2 changes the mood of the event. Shani has traced the strange signals to erratic Wasps, which now fly in odd patterns, make unusual sounds, and carry unidentified technology. They also keep gathering in one place. Players are being asked to find out what is pulling them together. The project runs through September 6, so there is not much time left to complete it. The exact Part 2 objectives, reward track, and Anomalia Outfit unlock method have not been clearly published, however.

What Part 1 Still Requires

The earlier stages remain useful to anyone catching up. Stage 1 asks players to upgrade three antennas on standard Cargo Elevator extraction points, with Dam Battlegrounds often being the quickest choice. Stage 2 requires damage with Pop Triggers, Wasp Drivers, and the Leaper Pulse Unit. Stage 3 moves into combat tasks: fire damage, energy-weapon kills against larger ARC units, and twenty flying ARC destroyed with Launcher Ammo. These values were documented before 1.42.0, so check the live Projects screen if something refuses to track.

Regional Scheduling and Combat Changes

Map Conditions are no longer tied to one global timetable. Schedules now shift by matchmaking region, which should give players a better chance of seeing conditions during their usual play hours. A Region label appears on the Map screen, and the official tracker was updated to match. Snitches can also call in a Rocketeer or a Firefly and Hornet pair. Snitch Scanners are not included in that change. The Photoelectric Cloak now blocks Turbine lightning and Matriarch missiles, while Queen and Matriarch stomps received fixes for attacks passing through walls.

Cosmetics, Security, and Remaining Problems

The Tick Hunter Set includes several outfit colours, a Field Telephone Backpack, a Tick Trophy charm, a Spider Tattoo face style, and 2,400 Raider Tokens. The Car Freshener and Ceramic Vase are the new Twitch Drops, though watch-time rules and deadlines remain unclear. Embark has also taken action against accounts using newly popular cheat software and improved detection for economy exploits. Xbox Series S crashes, a Windows update-related PC crash, lost keyboard input on the Epic Games Store, animation bugs, and several ARC collision problems are still being investigated.
