The Aion 2 Launch Scale Test has officially opened, giving players a free opportunity to experience NC’s upcoming MMORPG before Early Access begins. The limited event is designed to let a broad audience test the game while NC evaluates its servers and supporting infrastructure. Players interested in Aion 2 Items can use the short testing window to explore the available systems and become familiar with the game before permanent progression begins.

Open Access Makes Testing Simple

One of the biggest advantages of the Launch Scale Test is that there are very few barriers to entry. Players do not need a special key, invitation, or registration-list approval to participate. The test is open to everyone, making it possible for both longtime followers and curious newcomers to get an early look at the game.

Because the event is intended for large-scale testing, broad participation is useful. A larger player population gives NC an opportunity to observe how the servers handle simultaneous connections and normal gameplay activity. Players, meanwhile, can spend their limited testing time learning the basic structure of the upcoming MMORPG.

The Testing Schedule Is Short

The pre-download period began at 6 a.m. PT on Wednesday, September 16, and remains available until 6 a.m. PT on Thursday, September 17. Players who want to participate can use this period to prepare their installation before the first live session begins.

Launch Scale Test Day 1 runs from 6 a.m. to noon PT on Thursday, September 17. Day 2 follows from noon to 6 p.m. PT on Friday, September 18. Since the event lasts for only a short period, preparing the client ahead of time can make the experience much smoother.

Progression Connects Both Days

Players can carry their progression from the first testing session into the second. This means anyone who spends time leveling or exploring on Day 1 can continue with the same temporary progress during Day 2.

However, none of that progress will survive beyond the test. Everything is wiped once Day 2 ends, and test characters will not carry into Advanced Access or the official launch. The arrangement allows players to experiment without creating an unintended advantage for anyone who participates early.

The Economy Remains Disabled

The Launch Scale Test does not include purchases. The shop, Quna services, passes, memberships, and payment portals are all turned off during the event. Players therefore do not need to worry about spending money while testing the temporary environment.

The player economy is also unavailable. Marketplace functions, Quna exchange, and player-to-player trading are disabled. Founder’s Pack items cannot be accessed during the test either, so participants should treat the event as a technical preview rather than a version of the full commercial game.

Level and Cosmetic Features Are Restricted

The Closet system is disabled during the Launch Scale Test, leaving players with default outfits. This limits cosmetic customization but keeps attention on the game's core gameplay and technical performance.

The maximum character level is also set at 37. Because of that cap, some higher-level content cannot be reached. Players can still experience a meaningful portion of the game, but the test is not intended to represent the entire progression path.

Getting Ready for Advanced Access

Steam players should pay particular attention to the transition after testing. The Playtest App must be uninstalled before Advanced Access begins on September 30, and players will need to download AION 2 separately. PURPLE players do not need to complete additional steps.

Once permanent progression becomes available, players may start exploring Aion 2 Items for sale as they build characters and prepare for broader content. The Launch Scale Test itself remains completely temporary, so any progress made during the event should be treated as practice and exploration.

A Short Preview Before Launch

The Scale Test provides NC with a concentrated opportunity to examine its infrastructure while giving players an accessible preview of Aion 2. Its restrictions are intentional, with trading, purchases, cosmetics, and higher-level content kept offline.

For players preparing for the next stage, the event is mainly about learning the game and experiencing its early systems. With Early Access approaching, the temporary test serves as a useful bridge between pre-launch preparation and the more complete Aion 2 experience.
