Forza Horizon 6 Update 5, known as the British Automotive Update, brings a fresh selection of cars, a new Drift Attack feature, special dealership content, and a preview of what is coming next. The second vehicle is the 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior, available during the Summer season for 20 points. While it only uses a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine producing around 100 horsepower, its lightweight racing-focused design makes it much more interesting than the numbers suggest. The G40 Junior has already appeared in Forza Motorsport, but this is its first appearance in a Horizon game. Its arrival could also create opportunities for more Ginetta race cars to join the roster in the future.

The final Festival Playlist car is the 2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR. Players can earn it during Winter by collecting 20 points. With a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing roughly 230 horsepower and front-wheel drive, the Astra VXR is a classic British hot hatch. Its motorsport background could make it particularly appealing for players who enjoy transforming road cars into race builds.

New Car Pass Highlights

Update 5 also expands the Car Pass lineup. One of the biggest additions is the 2025 McLaren W1. Equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing more than 1,200 horsepower, the W1 represents the latest chapter in McLaren's line of high-performance “1” cars following the legendary F1 and P1. It is one of the most exciting additions to the update for players interested in modern hypercars.

The 2023 Dodge Demon 170 is another highly anticipated arrival. Its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 produces more than 1,000 horsepower and 950 lb-ft of torque. On a prepared drag surface, the Demon 170 can reportedly reach 60 mph in around 1.6 seconds and is capable of lifting its front wheels during hard launches. While some players may feel that Horizon already has plenty of Dodge Challenger variants, the Demon 170 has been a heavily requested addition.

The Car Pass also introduces the unusual 1998 Renault Sport Spider. With a 2.0-liter engine producing about 150 horsepower, it is more about lightweight handling and character than outright speed. Meanwhile, the 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Luftauto 002 offers a more adventurous experience. With a 3.2-liter flat-six, reinforced chassis, redesigned suspension, and KW coilovers, it has the appearance and equipment of an early off-road-focused 911.

Drift Attack and the Jaguar XJS

Another major feature of Update 5 is Drift Attack. This mode works as a drift-oriented time attack, sending players around a dedicated course with clipping points while challenging them to achieve the highest possible score. It provides a new way to enjoy the game's drifting mechanics.

The 1990 Jaguar XJS is also joining the Auto Show, while a special Forza Edition version can be earned through Drift Attack. This gives players another reason to experiment with the new activity while adding a distinctive version of a classic British car to their collection.

A Temporary British Dealership

The stadium's usual used-car dealership is being transformed into a temporary British car dealership for the update. Players may have the chance to find rare vehicles such as the 2019 Aston Martin DBS and 1961 Jaguar E-Type. Because these cars have previously been associated with limited availability, collectors may want to keep an eye on the dealership during the event.

Some players may also view these rare cars as potential auction-house opportunities. However, future prices are not guaranteed, so any decision to buy and hold vehicles for resale should be based on individual market expectations.

Looking Ahead to Update 6

Update 6 will introduce the “Horizon Meets” theme in October. The update is expected to feature temporary 7-Eleven evolving-world content, a permanent EventLab content pack, new-to-Horizon cars, and a new profile badge. The temporary nature of the 7-Eleven content has already raised questions about how long players will be able to enjoy it.

There are also concerns about the Edamame circuit near the stadium. If the existing event is removed without a replacement, part of the open-world racing experience could change significantly. For now, players will have to wait for more official details.
