Campfire Part 3 sounds like the kind of update that makes players stop hoarding blindly and start planning properly. If the leaks are accurate, anyone sitting on pets, eggs, shards, or GAG Items may want to think twice before trading them away too cheaply, because the next wave of systems looks tied to long-term pet growth rather than quick event rewards.
Inferno Mutation Looks Like the Big Chase
The leaked ritual platform is getting most of the attention, and for good reason. The idea is simple enough: place one chosen pet with four Inferno Shards, light the campfire, then wait for the process to finish. After that, the pet should come out with the new Inferno look, marked by red and green flames. It's flashy, sure, but players care more about the passive. That part still hasn't been nailed down. Inferno Shards are said to come from Bear NPC quests, with one shard awarded after every 25 completions. That means the grind won't be tiny, especially for players who want to mutate more than one favourite pet.
Flame Bear and Shadow Cat Could Shift Daily Play
The Flame Bear seems built for players who are always trying to level several pets at once. Based on the leaks, crafting it takes one Campfire Egg, one Polar Bear, and 15 million sheckles, with Campfire Level 4 required first. Its ability is the interesting part. Every minute, it fires off a fireball that restores hunger and gives experience to random pets. It feels a bit like a support tool rather than a showpiece. Then there's the Shadow Cat, which is stranger. Every five minutes, it reportedly has a 12.5% chance to add Shadow Mutation to nearby fruits. Nobody's fully sure what Shadow Mutation is for yet, but that sort of mechanic usually doesn't appear by accident.
Level 500 Pets Raise the Ceiling
The new pet cap may be the real economy shaker. Level 500 pets are expected to unlock a different mutation pool, so the usual machine results won't apply once a pet reaches that point. The leaked chances are Exalted at 50%, Iridescent at 35%, Gigantic at 12.5%, and Transcendent at 2.5%. Exalted appears to boost pet experience gains, while Iridescent can turn fruits into rainbow versions from time to time. Gigantic does exactly what you'd expect at first glance, making the pet much larger, but it also seems to help nearby companions through passive bonuses. Transcendent is the rare roll, and early notes point to a 35% passive boost, which is why people are already nervous about its price.
Inventory Changes and Market Pressure
There are also smaller changes that might matter more than they sound. Leaked images show pet age, hunger, weight, abilities, and mutation details directly inside the inventory screen. That's a proper quality-of-life upgrade, especially for players who trade often and don't want to guess what they're looking at. The shovel interface also seems cleaner now. With crafting costs, shard farming, and pet levelling all being pushed harder, many players are already watching the value of Grow a Garden Sheckles as they prepare for Flame Bear crafting, Level 500 upgrades, and whatever Shadow Mutation ends up doing.
